How to Look Good in the Summer (Guys)

from wikiHow – The How to Manual That You Can Edit
This is aimed towards teens that don’t want to look like that guy that you laugh at in the ugly t-shirt and short shorts!
This is so you can make sure you aren’t that guy.
If you wear the right clothes, the girls will want them off as soon as possible!

Steps

  1. Never wear an oversized t-shirt. They make you look bigger if you have a bit of a gut, and even if you’re extremely thin, you look wider.

    • Above rule DOES NOT APPLY to sleeveless shirts, but even then, you should check a mirror to make sure you don’t look huge.
  2. If you wear sleeveless shirts, a general rule is that if it is open at the sides, it MUST be white, and a SLEEVELESS shirt underneath is optional. If it is a basketball jersey, a shirt underneath is optional, but it shouldn’t have sleeves (see warnings).
  3. Never wear long pants. People will think you’re trying too hard to look cool, and it just looks out of place.
  4. Don’t let your shorts above your knee, or below 3/4 down your calf. Too short and you look shorter, wider, and right out of the 70’s. any longer and you look like you’re trying too hard and people will laugh at you.
  5. Summer is the best time to pierce your ears/wear earrings. Don’t be afraid to; it just leaves a tiny hole, and earrings on guys look amazing.
  6. In terms of hats; don’t use them for shade, because any hat that does that makes you look stupid, and people can’t see your face as well. However, hats are great for protecting your scalp if you have thin or short hair. The only ones that look good have a flat bill and are worn backwards. They are also either fitted or flex-fit.

Tips

  • Try to wear sleeveless shirts as much as possible. (see warnings)
  • Athletic shorts are the best kind to wear in the summer.
  • Try to go for either an athletic or surfer look (surfer only works on the west coast)
  • Try tanning, but only use a bed. Not only does that improve your skin tone better, it also makes you sunburn less and it goes away evenly. Spray tanning can say none of the above.
  • If it’s really hot out, and you have a good body, do not under any circumstances be afraid to remove your shirt. Just remember that most restaurants and businesses are “no shirt, no shoes, no service,” so keep that extra shirt or something with you if you plan on spending money.

Warnings

  • If you are over the age of 13 and you still don’t have full hair under your arms (it happens…), try not to wear too many sleeveless shirts, because people will laugh at you otherwise.
  • Get your ears pierced ONLY by a professional. It is much safer, and it is easier for the earrings to go where you want them.

Things You’ll Need

  • Okay body (work out and eat healthy, and it shouldn’t be hard)
  • sleeveless shirts
  • shorts
  • earrings
  • hats
